Ballina Ocean Tours started back in 1999 as a bit of fun on the water
and became a passion after some incredible experiences with the Dolphins
Humpack Whales. Ballina Ocean Tours now not only does Winter Whale
Watching Tours but also Summer Snorkel Tours as well.

Ballina Ocean Tours started operating out of Ballina and now operates out
of both Ballina and Byron Bay port. Operating out of both Ballina and Byron Bay gives
Ballina Ocean Tours the ability to get maximum days out on the water and a larger
sighting area for Whales and more areas for Snorkelling.

Back in the early days the numbers of the Humpbacks were much fewer and sightings were
quite spreed out during the day. These days its easier to get good spottings
as the numbers of whales migrating has increased. As the years pass the whales
become more familiar with the boat as they migrate up and down the east coast of
Australia.

During our seven years we have taken many people out for ocean tours
and all have had an experience of a lifetime with amazing photos
for a keepsake of their day. Local tour guide Lee loves his job and with
his local knowledge of the area (plus seven years of Whale Watching) your
guaranteed to get as much time as possible with the Whales and Dolphins.
